If you get bored of Glenvar Lake, you could also go to nearby Lake Catalina, and Glenvar Lake is not far at all from Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Miami Beach. Glenvar Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is December. At Glenvar Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. For the duration       of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 70's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 70's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Glenvar Lake temperatures sink to the 50's. Camping is available at Camp Shalom; Big Cypress National Preserve is a very glorious location to go to. This                  lake is so wonderful.
