A lake close by is Scoggin Lake; Gator Lake is right by the Flatwoods Trail. Through the warmest time of the year at Gator Lake temperatures are usually in the 90's. Summer night lows sink down to the 70's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 60's; overnight lows during the winter for Gator Lake tend to be in the 40's. Marina is a brilliant place to camp, and let's not forget Honey Creek which is a stream that you may run into during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. A cool spot to take a look at in the neighborhood of Gator Lake is Devils
Elbow, and if you need a place to stay Tropical Resort and Marina is a tremendous choice. Gator Lake is not the only spot close by, Blue Peter Lake is a close by lake, and camping is available at Highland Park Fish Camp.
