Do stop by Gator Lake while you're in this part of Florida. Good hiking is available along the Flatwoods Trail, and time spent at Hampton Beach is always glorious. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Gator Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pine Island Fish Camp; folks from The Villages love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Gator Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Nelson's Fish Camp is a pleasant

| | place for that, and do stop by Tigerhead Lake, it's a striking lake. A large amount of rainfall falls at Gator Lake; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is October. What a spot this is for outdoors people. If you need a site to stay Microtel Inn and Suites Lady Lake is a great choice, and you can spend the day on the beach at Eatons Beach.
