Why not stop by Gar Pond if you're passing through these parts. Gar Pond commonly gets lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Gar Pond without first checking out Scarborough Bend, and lots of people from Lake City come here. This lake is so wonderful. Little Shoals is a good site to check out in the neighborhood of Gar Pond. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Gar Pond. Swamps can be such exciting places, have a look at Bottom Bay if you're here at Gar Pond; brilliant hiking is available along the Osceola Trail. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Suwannee River, and needless to say, this is a tremendous region for people who like lakes, Horse Pond is a lake close at hand. There's whitewater on Falling Creek
for all you adrenaline people, and getting to Falling Creek from Gar Pond is painless. At Gar Pond during the warm months highs are in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 60's with temperatures at Gar Pond dipping down into the 30's through winter nights.
