You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Gar Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Falling Creek, and if you want to have a look at some interesting stuff, have a look at Scarborough Bend. Gar Pond is a place with many visitors from Lake City, and Gar Pond       is in the neighborhood of Little Shoals which is positively worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Take a look at nearby Bottom Bay, and Lee's Country Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. If you need a location to stay Americas Best Value Inn-White Springs/Live Oak is a brilliant choice, and Gar Pond is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Shady Grove Mobile Home Park is a great spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Visit                  Falling Creek if you're here at Gar Pond; Gar Pond is not the only spot nearby, Horse Pond is a nearby lake. You could also stop by Barbara Lake if you're here at Gar Pond; it's close by, and a good nearby hotel is Days Inn Lake City. Gar Pond frequently gets lots of rain; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. Throughout the months of summer at Gar Pond highs are frequently in the 90's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
