Gannet Pond is not the only place nearby, Baptising Pond is a nearby lake, and if you came for an overnight stay       Dogwood Acres is a good place to camp. Bruce Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and why not camp at Vortex Spring if you're here at Gannet Pond. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Gannet Pond. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 60's, and nighttime lows at Gannet Pond throughout the wintertime regularly dip into the 30's.
