This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bracel Branch, and if you came to camp Camel Lake Campground is a pleasant location to do that. Little Camel Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out. There's so much to do here at Franklin Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Big Gully Landing Campground is a nice place for that. The Trail of the Lakes       is a great hiking trail next to Franklin Pond; Fillman Hill Bay is close at hand and always good to go to. There are swamps here too; Devils Old Field Swamp is in close proximity, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Apalach Inn. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Franklin Pond has to offer.
