A pretty lake like Button Bush Pond right next door to Flag Pond is a brilliant location to stop at, and Econo Lodge Live Oak is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Rocky Hill is a peak you can observe from Flag Pond, and dry warm beds await       you at Scottish Inns Live Oak. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Suwannee River State Park, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Falling Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Flag Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lee's Country Campground, and drift down the rapids of Suwannee River in a kayak. Through the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 90's at Flag Pond with overnight lows in the 70's. The winter comes                  with highs in the 60's with temperatures at Flag Pond dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights.
