The beauty of Flag Pond is reason enough to stop by. The high level of rainfall makes Flag Pond a reasonably wet location; the month with most of the rain is August while October is mostly the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Flag Pond. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's, and nighttime lows in the 40's for Flag Pond. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BROOKSVILLE is a splendid location to spend a night or two, and Flag Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Safari Camp Of St Catherine is a great local campground. a close by lake. On a great day you can take a look at Buck Sawgrass, a swamp in close proximity to Flag Pond, and Corbett Sink is a scenic place any time of year. There's so much to do here at Flag Pond that you need to camp
here for a while, Breezy Oaks is a delightful place for that, as expected you could also stop by Sand Pond if you're here; it's not far at all.
