The beauty of Fish Lake attracts many people from all around. Fish Lake is a quite wet place frequently with a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July while October is generally the driest month. Throughout the summertime highs here at Fish Lake reach the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 60's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Fish Lake temperatures fall to the 30's.

A fine swamp near Fish Lake is Blue Branch, and after a long day outdoors Atmore Days Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. At Fish Lake you can make out Rocky Mound, and Ashton Dead River is a perfect lake close by. A wonderful place to camp here at Fish Lake is Adventures Unlimited Canoe, and Brewton Inn is a good place to get some rest.
