There is a splendid hiking trail near Farles Lake called the Flatwoods Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Alexander Springs Recreation is a magnificent place to camp. Go for a hike on the Ocala National Recreation Trail; Comfort Inn Mt. Dora is a perfect place to get some rest. During the days       of summer at Farles Lake temperatures are usually in the 90's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 70's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's; nighttime lows in the 40's for Farles Lake. If you need a location to stay Ecom Lodge is a great choice, and obviously, this is a great neighborhood for people who like lakes, Buck Lake is a lake in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Baptist Lake Trasil is always                  a wonderful adventure, and camping at Farles Lake is good fun, Wild woods Resort is a good local campground.
