Sunset King Lake RV Resort
15 miles away

...d is in a rural setting, away from all the highway noises that you sometimes have to put up with at other campgrounds.

Our resort is on King Lake, which is approximately 580 acres and is well stocked with black bass, crappie, shellcracker, and bream. Large bass catches are a regular happening and the lake has yielded a 17 1/4 pounder. Bream weighing in at 2 pounds and greater, along with 3 pound crappie have been caught on many occasions.

We have large campsites that can accommodate any size RV, from personal campers to the ''Big ''Rigs'', with water, sewer, 30 & 50 Amp electric service, and cable TV. WIFI is also available ($).
You can relax in our quiet atmosphere or spend time with friendly neighbors and have the companionship of fellow RVers. Come to the clubhouse for a bite to eat, play some games, work on crafts, read a book, or just look out over the beautiful lake and surrounding countryside.

There are many planned activities to keep you as busy as you want to be, including Ice Cream Socials, bingo, hot dogs by the bonfire, a pot luck Sunday lunch...

Karick Lake
15 miles away
I think that the Fla. Division Of Forestry should put a stop to people saving sights for days with a small tent before parking their unit on the sight.  People are tuned away that could be utilizing these sights and enjoying our beautiful area.  I realize the division is still collecting the same money for the sight.  But it is agravating to drive through hoping to park your unit and find half or more sights saved with a small tent and no one in them....

Anderson Pond
18 miles away
This is one of the Eglin ponds open to public by permit. There are several primitive campsites with picnic tables, a pavillion, and nature trails....even a little fishing pier.
The dirt road is passable for a small RV, but leveling is difficult. Contact Jackson Goard at Eglin for permit. Pass is $6 a year, and to camp is $5 for 5 days. Blue Gills and Bass are in the pond, as well as (I'd bet) an aligator or two....
