Lake Effie is great enough to spend more than a day at, Burrell's Camp Chippewa is a great local campground, and Holly Oaks Lake is a magnificent lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You need to stop by Mitchell Bluff while you're here at Lake Effie, and don't forget to visit Dames Point since you're here. If you need a site to stay Candlewood Suites JACKSONVILLE EAST MERRIL ROAD is a splendid choice, and there are other sites here than Lake Effie, for example

Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Lake Effie. Take a side journey to Ginhouse Creek, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Jacksonville here. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lake Effie that you need to camp here for a while, Regency Trailer Park is a glorious spot for that, and if you have time, Timucuan Ecological & Historic Preserve is a national park worth taking a look | |

temperatures at Lake Effie fall into the 40's.
Lake Effie typically gets a great deal of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. After
a long day outdoors Value Place Merill Road is a great spot to spend a night or two; if you're a golfer then a brilliant nearby course is Mill Cove Golf Club.
