Duck Slough is a wet site that gets a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July while October is frequently the driest month. A fine place to camp here at Duck Slough is Camel Lake Campground, and swamps can be such interesting sites, stop by Buzzard Lake if you're here at Duck Slough. This lake is so wonderful. Why not visit Point Poloway also if you're here, and a lake nearby is Blue Lake.       If you're hooked on cool geologic features, try West Wynnton Bend, and of course Hicks Creek is a pretty stream that is worth stopping at. At Duck Slough through the days of summer highs are in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Duck Slough temperatures dip to the 30's.
