Dog Lake, Leon County, Florida     User input for Dog Lake, Leon County, Florida: Erica: Dog Lake is much more of a pond than a lake.  Perhaps, that can be attributed to a drought.  The white sandy beach is nice and plentiful.  There is a nice view of the sky and stars from Dog Lake.  However, with its close proximity to the Tallahassee airport, the sky and the air are often disrupted by planes landing and taking off. Dog Lake is a relatively wet place typically with a great deal of precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is October. All through the days of summer here at Dog Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 70's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 60's while Dog Lake       night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 30's. Dog Lake is right by the Vinzant, and Sleep Inn Tallahassee is a nice spot to get some rest. Lots of folks from Tallahassee come to Dog Lake, and dry warm beds await you at University Inn and Suites. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are truly plentiful here at Dog Lake. While you're here at Dog Lake, you could also stop by striking Lost Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
