High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 60's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at Dempsey Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is       Days Inn-Madison; there are other places here than Dempsey Lake, for example Water Pond. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Madison is a great choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Friendship Inn is a fine place to camp. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do next to Dempsey Lake. Madison Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal) is a great whitewater spot close by. Don't forget to take a perfect                  little journey to Dry Run, and lakes are such serene sites, why not stop at Winquepin Pond.
