A nice close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Winter Haven, and camping at Lake Deer is nice fun, Oak Harbor RV Park is a nice local campground. During your trip to Lake Deer you'll meet some people from Lakeland-Winter Haven for sure; Super 8 Motel Winterhaven is a great spot to get some rest. Lake Deer is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a lot of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with       most of the rain, and the driest month is April. For you golfers we recommend close by Winter Haven City Willowbrook Golf Course. All through the summertime months highs here at Lake Deer get into the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 70's, and night lows at Lake Deer throughout the wintertime regularly fall into the 50's.
