All the water falling down from the sky makes Deep Lake a wet spot; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and December on the other hand is the driest. For the period of the warm days of summer at Deep Lake highs are commonly in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 70's. Port of the Islands Resort and Marina is a tremendous place to get some rest; a charming lake like West Hinson Lake is a splendid place to explore. If the weather is pretty, you obtain a good sight of Hollywood Head from Deep Lake, and you're sure to bump into some friendly folks from Naples-Marco Island here. Deep Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Glades Haven is a wonderful                  local campground; you'll find a delightful lake called Cochran Lake.
