Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal) is a magnificent whitewater spot in the vicinity of Cypress Pond. Holton Creek is close to Cypress Pond and is always a joy to take a look at, and after a long day outdoors Motel 8 is a nice spot to spend a night or two. Summertime at Cypress Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 70's.       High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 60's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Cypress Pond temperatures descend to the 40's. Cypress Pond gets a good deal of water; July is the month that gets the most rain while October is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and Campground, and you can run the rapids of Turket Creek.
