A great location to camp here at Crab Lake is Suwannee River State Park, and of course Crab Creek flows through this region. You could also visit Deep Lake while you're here at Crab Lake; it's close by; at Crab Lake you always meet someone from Lake City. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous nearby hotel is Americas Best Value Inn, and Crab Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Lee's Country Campground       is a nice local campground. Crab Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; throughout August this area sees the most rain while October is usually the driest month. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Crab Lake has it all. Float down the rapids of Suwannee River in a kayak. Econo Lodge Live Oak is a wonderful place to get some rest, and if you come at the right time of year, Falling Creek offers some pleasant whitewater. High temperatures                  at Crab Lake throughout the summertime months are in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 70's.
