This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Baptist Lake Trasil; Days Inn Orange City/Deland is a brilliant place to get some rest. So many exciting things to do here at Cooter Pond, too delightful to be true. Deerhaven Campgrounds is a great       local campground; a lake nearby is Hanna Lake. A great swamp in close proximity to Cooter Pond is Lake Holly, and Bear Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. The high level of rainfall makes Cooter Pond a quite wet place; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is December. During the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 90's at Cooter Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 70's. All through the                  wintertime the highs are mostly in the 60's, and nighttime lows in the 40's for Cooter Pond.
