     Not far from Coopers Pond, you'll stumble on M Lake which is a picturesque lake, and after a long day outdoors Red Carpet Inn Starke is a good spot to spend a night or two. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Coopers Pond reach the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 60's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Coopers Pond temperatures descend to the  
   40's. If you're visiting Coopers Pond from Palatka, you won't be the only one. A great deal of rain falls at Coopers Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is October.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park is always a fine experience, and if you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Starke is a nice choice. A fine site to camp here at Coopers Pond is Lake Swan Camp Office. Lakes? Sure, Pear Lake is close by.
