A wonderful place for whitewater paddling near Casterline Lake is Suwannee River. Camping is available at Inn and Out RV Park, as expected you could also check out Lake Jeffery if you're here; it's not far at all. If you need a place to stay Lake City Travelodge is a great choice, and Casterline Lake is not far at all from Lake City. All the water falling down from the sky makes Casterline Lake a wet       place; August is when you get the most rain here, and October is the month with the least moisture. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Casterline Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 70's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 60's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Casterline Lake fall into the 40's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Osceola Trail is always                  a magnificent adventure, and you can run the rapids of Falling Creek. If you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Quail Heights Country Club; in all probability you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Ox Pond is just a very short distance away. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site.
