     The beauty of Cason Lake attracts many people from all around. Do check out Mobley Pond near Cason Lake, it's a pretty lake, and Cason Lake is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Lake Manatee State Rec Area is a glorious place to camp nearby. Cason Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. So many amusing things in the neighborhood of Cason Lake, truly remarkable.  
   Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Oak Ford Golf Club.
Myakka River State Park is a good local campground; dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Sarasota/I-75 Bee Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a lovely lake called Lake Myakka near Cason Lake; you'll most likely meet some people from Sarasota-Bradenton-Venice here. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Cason Lake.                in the 70's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 70's, and winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Cason Lake.

The pool and hot tub were great. They were heated to a comfortable temperature. The washrooms are old but spotless and the showers are hot and free. You can tell they are working to make this resort a gem. During our 2 week stay they pulled out 2 older trailers and after talking to the residents there will be more to go.
If you are looking for a place to have your younger children entertained this may not be the place to go. The activities planned for them are limited.
The wild life in the park is immense. From the edge of the Myakka River you can see the biggest alligators you ever want to get that close to in the wild. The fishing from the dock was quite good. We saw a Bald Eagle land in the field beside the pool. While eating our dinner we had a hawk land and capture his pray 10 feet from our table. The Owls put us to sleep at night and the wood peckers woke us up in the morning. A good suggestion is to bring fire ant killer. They are abundant in the park.
