Camel Pond is a nice lake to visit. Any time is a good time at Camel Pond if you love the outdoors. Camel Lake Campground is a brilliant local campground, and a good nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel Marianna. Swamps like Johnson Juniper Swamp are fun to go to; you should visit Fillman Hill Bay when you're here.

| | driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Little Gully Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at; do take a hike on the Trail of the Lakes. Camel Pond is a great site to visit for more than one day, Big Gully Landing Campground is a great site to camp nearby, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Apalachicola Trail.
