Buck Lake is right by the Flatwoods Trail, and you'll stumble on a lovely lake called Chain O Lakes. What a site this is for outdoors people. This lake is so wonderful. Have a great hiking adventure along the Ocala National Recreation Trail, and Comfort Inn Mt. Dora is a splendid place to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Buck Lake has to offer, you can camp at Alexander Springs       Recreation, and a glorious close by hotel is Ecom Lodge. Summertime at Buck Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 70's. Highs all through the winter are mostly in the 60's with temperatures at Buck Lake dipping down into the 40's through winter nights. All the water falling down from the sky makes Buck Lake a wet place; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and November on the                  other hand is the driest. Take a hike on the Baptist Lake Trasil.
