Don't leave Buck Lake without first going for a hike along the Flatwoods Trail; do take a look at Hanna Lake, it's a lovely lake. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Orange City/Deland is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two, and there's nice hiking along the Baptist Lake Trasil. Buck Lake is a wet place that gets lots of rain; the month       with most of the rain is August; the driest month of the year is December. All through the long summer days here at Buck Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 60's with temperatures at Buck Lake dipping down into the 40's during winter nights. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll love Buck Lake. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Lake Holly                  is right nearby, and if you came for an overnight stay Deerhaven Campgrounds is a good location to camp. This lake is so wonderful.
