Tropical Resort and Marina is a great place to get some rest, and you'll hit upon a pretty lake called Saint Claire Lake. Don't leave Buck Lake without first going for a hike along the Flatwoods Trail; do take a look at Hanna Lake, it's a lovely lake. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Orange City/Deland is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two, and there's nice hiking along the Baptist Lake Trasil. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 60's with temperatures at Buck Lake dipping down into the 40's during winter nights.
