Blue Pond is not far at all from Palatka; do stop at Lake Broward, it's a scenic lake. Blue Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is April. A splendid nearby hotel is Shell Harbour Resort; camping is available at Wolfe's Camp. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors       Historic Inn of Welaka is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and camping at Shell Harbor Resort is always a pleasant experience. Throughout the summer highs here at Blue Pond reach the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 70's. During the winter highs are in the 60's, and overnight lows during the winter for Blue Pond tend to be in the 40's.
