A lake close by is Lake Byron, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn De Land is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. All the water falling down from the sky makes Blue Lake a wet place; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most; December is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Blue Lake that you need to camp here for       a while, Deland/Orange City KOA is a great place for that, and Victoria Hills Golf Club is a golf course close by. You're sure to run into some good folks from Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach here. For the period of the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 90's at Blue Lake with nighttime lows in the 70's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 60's with temperatures at Blue Lake dipping down into the 40's throughout winter nights.
