For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Blackwater Lake highs are typically in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 60's while Blackwater Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 40's. This is no       place for people who don’t like to have fun. Take a look at close by Bell Pond; you'll discover a striking lake called Bream Lake. Blackwater Lake frequently gets a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is August; October is when it's the driest. Blackwater Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Fin and Feather Fish Camp and Trlr is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the West Fort Island Trail is always a good adventure, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Homosassa Springs.
