High Springs Campground is a glorious campground here; a pretty lake like Downing Lake is a tremendous location to go to. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Alachua Days Inn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two; Black Lake is a splendid site to camp, Old Bellamy Road Camping Park is a splendid site. Columbia Spring is a scenic place to visit while you're at Black Lake; Quality Inn Alachua is       a fine site to get some rest. The cheerful people of Lake City like to hang out nearby. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Black Lake reach the 90's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 70's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Black Lake.
