     Nearby lakes? Sure, Black Pond is in close proximity to The Black Holes, and Gap Branch is near The Black Holes and is always a delight to visit. Through the warm days of summer at The Black Holes temperatures are usually in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to The Black Holes. Be careful coming to The Black Holes, you might not  
   ever want to go home again. Comfort Inn & Suites is a perfect place to get some rest. All the water falling down from the sky makes The Black Holes a wet place; through the month of July you get the most rain around here while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
The Black Holes is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Paradise Lakes Resort is a perfect place to camp nearby; Hudson Hill is clearly visible from The Black Holes.
 
               A pleasant close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express CHIPLEY, and if you've had enough of The Black Holes, Moss Pond is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps here too; Boggy Pond is in close proximity. You'll need more than a day to look at everything The Black Holes has to offer, you can camp at Dogwood Acres.
