If you like lakes and you're in this part of Florida you can check out Bivans Arm. Paramount Plaza Hotel & Suites is a delightful location to get some rest; if you're dropping by from Gainesville, you won't be the only one. So many amusing things to do at Bivans Arm, so little time. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express is a splendid site to spend a night or two, and Meadowbrook Golf Club is a wonderful golf course nearby.

The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at Bivans Arm. Bivans Arm gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is October.
