All the water falling down from the sky makes Big Pond a wet place; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Brooksville Days Inn is a nice place to spend a night or two, and swamps can be such exciting places, stop at Battle Slough since you're here at Big Pond. Rodeway Inn Bushnell is a tremendous site to get       some rest; while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by The Villages. You clearly ought to love Big Pond. Camping is available at Trail's End Camp; let's not forget Gum Slough which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here. At Big Pond through the warm days of summer highs are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 70's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 40's                  to Big Pond.
