At Benton Lake through the warm months highs are in the 90's while night lows are ordinarily in the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's; overnight lows in the 40's for Benton Lake. All the water falling down from the sky       makes Benton Lake a wet site; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is December. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Orange City is a pleasant choice, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Grass Lake is right nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are great locations to explore along the Baptist Lake Trasil, and Grass Lake is a good lake close by. Going for a hike on the Flatwoods Trail is always a tremendous adventure;                  dry warm beds await you at Tropical Resort and Marina.
