It has been reopened to fishing, boating, hiking, & wildlife viewing. It has a boat launch, miles of still water bayous & access to the Escambia River, the 4th largest River in Florida and home to a 35,000 acre wildlife management area. Limited camping is available as well. High temperatures at Becks Lake through the summer are in the 90's; the night is a little colder of course, commonly in the 70's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 60's while Becks Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. There are other sites here than Becks Lake, for example Blue Lake, and since you're here you can play some golf at Champion       Golf Club. Becks Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Tall Oak's Campground RV Park; dry warm beds await you at Value Place Penascola. And that's not all you can do here at Becks Lake.
