     After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Alachua is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and a lake close by is Fish Pond. During the long summer days here at Bagget Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 70's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Bagget Lake. Bagget Lake is a rather wet place regularly with much rain; the month of August  
   is the wettest with most of the rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.
Bagget Lake is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Blue Springs Park is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and Quality Inn I-75 at Exit 399 is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bagget Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ginnie Springs, and if you get bored of Bagget Lake you could also take a look at nearby Bay Horse Pond.

We are only two miles from the Nature Coast State Trail that runs from Trenton west to Fanning Springs, then north to Cross City or south to Chiefland. There are two natural springs on the property and a mile long spring run. Enjoy fishing along the spring run and the Suwannee River or launch your own boat from the adjacent county boat ramp.
