Bachelor Lake is a quite wet place mostly with a large amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is October. Dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns Live Oak, and camping at Bachelor Lake is tremendous fun, Suwannee River State Park is a tremendous local campground. Through the warm months here at Bachelor Lake, high temperatures       generally reach the 90's while night lows are mostly in the 70's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's; nighttime lows at Bachelor Lake through the winter typically sink into the 30's. If you come at the right time of year, Suwannee River offers some tremendous whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Live Oak is a good choice; Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and Campground is a tremendous                  campground here. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Falling Creek.
