Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Nash is in the vicinity of Lake Avaco, and on a nice day it's a magnificent idea to spend the day at Dunedin Beach. What a place this is for outdoors people. Take a little tour to Anclote River since you're here at Lake Avaco, and Hampton Inn Suites Tarpon Springs is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.       Camping is available at Fay's RV Park, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Tarpon Springs Golf Course. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Avaco a wet site; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month of the year is April. Throughout the summer months at Lake Avaco temperatures are usually in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 70's. The winter brings highs down                  to the 60's while Lake Avaco overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 40's. If you want to hit the beach, Sunset Beach is close by; why not camp at Linger Longer RV Park while you're here at Lake Avaco. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Hotel & Suites Tarpon Springs is a great spot to spend a night or two, and if you've had enough of Lake Avaco, Hidden Lake is close by. You'll meet a lot of folks from Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater here. This lake is so wonderful.
