There's so much to do here at Ashton Dead River that you need to camp here for a while, Black Jack Creek Camp Ground is a magnificent location for that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Ashton Dead River a wet place; July is the wettest month with most rain; October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Brewton       Inn, and Big Escambia Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit. Summertime highs at Ashton Dead River usually tend to be in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 60's with temperatures at Ashton Dead River dipping down into the 30's through winter nights.
