Lake Alto is not the only site nearby, Little Santa Fe Lake is a nearby lake; you're sure to stumble upon some wonderful folks from Gainesville here. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Hickory Pond, and a nice close by hotel is Sleep Inn & Suites Waldo. There's so much to do here at Lake Alto that you need to camp here for a while, Starke Koa Kampground is a delightful place for that, and after a long day outdoors Red Carpet Inn Starke is a nice place

| | to spend a night or two. If you came to camp Lake Swan Camp Office is a nice place to do that, and a round of golf at nearby Keystone Golf & Country Club is a great way to kill some time. Be careful coming to Lake Alto, you might not ever wanna go home again. The high level of rainfall makes Lake Alto a relatively wet place; during August this area sees the most rain while October is generally the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Lake Alto. | |
