This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Hickory Pond, and a nice close by hotel is Sleep Inn & Suites Waldo. There's so much to do here at Lake Alto that you need to camp here for a while, Starke Koa Kampground is a delightful place for that, and after a long day outdoors Red Carpet Inn Starke is a nice place       to spend a night or two. If you came to camp Lake Swan Camp Office is a nice place to do that, and a round of golf at nearby Keystone Golf & Country Club is a great way to kill some time. Be careful coming to Lake Alto, you might not ever wanna go home again. The high level of rainfall makes Lake Alto a relatively wet place; during August this area sees the most rain while October is generally the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Lake Alto.                  Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's.
