Try Fox Branch, and Alligator Ponds is not the only site close by, Old Lake is a close by lake. High temperatures at Alligator Ponds during the warm days of summer are in the 90's while overnight lows are mostly in the 70's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 60's, and night lows at Alligator Ponds during the wintertime typically dip into the 40's. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Quincy is a nice location to       spend a night or two; if you get bored of Alligator Ponds you could also take a look at close by Highlog Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Whitehead Lake Campground, and do take a hike on the Trail of the Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites QUINCY I-10 is a wonderful spot to get some rest, and Big Thick is a swamp right next door to Alligator Ponds. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of                  Alligator Ponds. Taking a little tour to close by Buck Bay is a perfect idea, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Vinzant. Camping at Pine Creek Landing Campground is always a great experience; Alligator Ponds is right by the Apalachicola Trail.
