Lake Alcyone is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Paradise Island Fishing is a wonderful place to camp nearby,       and get soaked paddling on Turket Creek. You simply should have a thing about Lake Alcyone. If you're here at Lake Alcyone, you could check out Jumping Gully Creek, and glide down the rapids of Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal) in a kayak. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Lake Park/Valdosta, and Grassy Pond is a good lake close by. If you need a spot to stay Valdosta-Days Inn Lake Park is a nice choice.
