This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites, and you'll most likely meet some folks from Seaford here. A visit to Slaughter Beach near Waples Pond is always a brilliant idea, and Noah Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. High temperatures at Waples Pond during the days of summer are in the 80's.       Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Waples Pond. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great world it would be. Fowler Beach is near Waples Pond and is a pretty beach to take a look at; camping at Steamboat Landing is always a nice experience. Waples Pond is a relatively wet place regularly with a good deal of rain;                  September is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. Sugar Hill is a peak you can make out from Waples Pond, and don't miss out on a glorious swamp; Buzzard Swamp is right here at Waples Pond. While you're here at Waples Pond, you could also take a look at beautiful Blind Pond, and if you came to camp Eagles Nest Family Camp Ground is a glorious spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful.
