Tailings Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Lums Pond State Park is a good local campground, and after a long day outdoors Americinn Wilmington/Bear is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Why not go to a swamp like Thousand Acre Swamp while you're here at Tailings Pond, and there are plenty of folks from Dover here at Tailings Pond. If you came to camp Delaware Motel and RV Park is a glorious place to do that; one of the best things about this spot is its proximity to Deemers Beach. Biddle Point is close by and always fine to stop by, and lakes are such serene sites, why not take a look at Shallcross Lake. This lake is so wonderful. of Red Clay Creek. If you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Airport is a pleasant choice, and beaches are wonderful and Deemers Beach is no exception. This place, Tailings Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors fun stuff. A glorious
spot for whitewater paddling right next door to Tailings Pond is Brandywine Creek, and you'll stumble on a wonderful lake called Smalleys Pond. At Tailings Pond throughout the summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night
it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Tailings Pond.

Noxontown Lake
 | 1 PHOTO ...r. He will check your license, coolers, and boats. The ramp is good, but has a slight drop-off when you get a few feet in, so launch slowly. The parking lot itself holds about 8-10 vehicles, but you can park on the side of the road, and walk back down. There are signs on the fences clearly stating all the rules.
Locations
Noxontown Lake is larger than most other Delaware Lakes and ponds, and you need to have a game plan when you arrive for the first time, as the time you can spend on the lake is limited. The massive decent of out-of-state anglers is over now, but it still receives it's fair share of pressure. Many days there will be 8-10 boats here. The area by the dam and the road to your right after you leave the ramp is not worth spending your time with. Small bass and panfish are caught here, but there are better locations. Noxontown is about 4 feet deep on average, but most of the shoreline up close, is in 1-2 feet of water.
