Well the way we used to get rid of our lillie pads back in Sartoga by taken maple syrup and spreadin it realll thick across the pad see. Then the bees come and drop their exsciment all over it then the birds use the bee doo doo to wallow and wash in. This upsets and disturbs the delicate texture of the top ''pad'' of the lillie; henceforth, the lillie dies.

Who do I contact about controlling the lillie pad growth on Red Mill Pond? They have taken over parts of the canals off of the pond and make it difficult to get our boat out to the main pond. Is there a branch of the county that can spray to control the lillie pads?

If you are traveling by, why not stop by Red Mill Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Midway Par 3 Golf Course, and if you're visiting from Seaford, you won't be the only one. Swamps can be such out of the ordinary locations, explore Black Hog Gut while you're here at Red Mill Pond, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Hunters Millpond. Dry warm beds await you at Sleep Inn & Suites, and if you want to hit the beach, Old Inlet Beach is close at hand. So much fun stuff near Red Mill Pond, absolutely striking. Lakes? Sure, Burton Pond is close at hand, and Broadkill Beach is pretty nearby if you're in a beach type of mood.

need to camp here for a while, Tall Pines Campground is a good location for that, and a quick trip to Fisher Creek is without doubt a magnificent idea. Red Mill Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Big Oaks Family Campground
is a nice local campground, and Red Mill Pond Dam is not far at all from Red Mill Pond. Red Mill Pond gets a lot of water; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest.
For the
duration of the warmest time of the year here at Red Mill Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Red Mill Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's.
