Porter Reservoir is in close proximity to Nemours Dam which is a beautiful location certainly worth visiting, and swing by Alapocas Run it's a tremendous       site to stop at. For the period of the long summer days at Porter Reservoir temperatures are generally in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Porter Reservoir plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Delaware Motel and RV Park is a delightful spot to do that; an afternoon playing golf at Rock Manor                  Golf Course is always a joy. Much rainfall falls at Porter Reservoir; July is when you get the most rain here while February is mostly the driest month. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Brandywine Creek, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Edgemoor Reservoir.
