Woodbury is a wonderful site to do that, and dry warm beds await you at Heritage Hotel. You could also take a look at Jones Pond if you're here at Zeiglers Pond; it's close by; in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bantam River. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do in the neighborhood of Zeiglers Pond. On a magnificent day it's a good idea to spend the day at Litchfield Town Beach; Zeiglers       Pond is not the only location close by, Emmons Pond is a close by lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. The Mayflower Inn & Spa is a wonderful place to get some rest, and Shepaug River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Carmel Hill is easily seen from Zeiglers Pond, and at Jones Pond Dam in close proximity to Zeiglers Pond there are some attention-grabbing things to see. You're sure to stumble                  upon some smiling people from Torrington here; don't leave Zeiglers Pond without first going for a hike along the Mattatuck Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Near Zeiglers Pond you find a golf course called Stonybrook Golf Course. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Zeiglers Pond has to offer, you can camp at Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds. The high level of rainfall makes Zeiglers Pond a relatively wet site; all through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. What would winter be without some skiing at Mohawk Mountain, and a trip to Mt. Tom State Park revitalizes the spirit. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to hit the beach, Morris Town Beach is around here, and pleasant hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. There's so much to do here at Zeiglers Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cozy Hills Campground is a good place for that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Zeiglers Pond; Naugatuck Trail is a pleasant local trail. All through the summer highs here at Zeiglers Pond get into the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's.
