If you like the outdoors, you'll fancy Wright Pond. On a good day at Wright Pond you can take a hike along the Border Trail; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PLAINFIELD is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Natchaug River, and a stunning       lake like Frank Bennett Pond is a good spot to check out. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Wright Pond reach the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Wright Pond are in the 10's. Wright Pond is a relatively wet place ordinarily with a great deal of precipitation; throughout November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February.                  Looking for a perfect tour? Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is pretty near Wright Pond, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Narragansett Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Paradise Lake is a magnificent lake near Wright Pond. There's so much to do here at Wright Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Salt Rock Family Camping is a glorious place for that.
