Skiing at Mohawk Mountain is one of those things you just must do; if you need a place to stay Yankee Pedlar Inn is a good choice. Be careful coming to Woodbridge Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. A journey to Litchfield Town Beach near Woodbridge Lake is always a delightful idea, and there are plenty of folks from Torrington here at Woodbridge Lake. This lake is so wonderful. | | Lake; stopping by Mohawk Mountain State Park is a magnificent thing to do. If you're here at Woodbridge Lake and you like golf, you can go to Stonybrook Golf Course. A great swamp near Woodbridge Lake is Bear Swamp, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Shepaug River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Woodbridge Lake a wet spot; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Valley In The Pines Campground is a glorious local campground, and there are other sites here than Woodbridge Lake, for example Dog Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Tollgate Hill Inn, and the Mattatuck Trail is a magnificent hiking
trail nearby. You can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Woodbury; here at Woodbridge Lake you can observe Milton Hill. Hemlock Hill Camp Resort and Co-operative is a glorious campground nearby, and Milton Pond is a splendid
lake close by. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Woodbridge Lake. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Woodbridge Lake called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and if you come at the
right time of year, Bantam River offers some great whitewater. Summertime at Woodbridge Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Woodbridge Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
