If you like lakes and you're in this part of Connecticut you can check out Wood Pond. Wood Pond gets much water; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. Go for a hike on the Tunxis Trail; a spree to Talcott Mountain State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. What a location this is for outdoors folks. the winter highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Wood Pond are in the 10's. There's some flowing water close by, South Branch Trout Brook is a stream you can take a look at while you're here, and you're almost
certainly interested in lakes, Hartford Reservoir Number 1 is one of those nearby. If you need a spot to stay Courtyard by Marriott Hartford Farmington is a fine choice; on a wonderful day you obtain a great sight of Burnt Hill from
Wood Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Mount Southington has great slopes and a friendly staff; there are pleasant sites to explore along the Mattabesset Trail. This lake is so wonderful. During your trip to Wood Pond you'll meet
some people from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford for sure; if you came for an overnight stay Camp Eagle Feather is a wonderful place to camp. Farmington River is a perfect whitewater spot near Wood Pond, and Golden Acres Campground
